Silicom Ltd. is looking for a Test Engineer – Timing Synchronization IEEE 1588.
Responsibilities
You will be a part of a team developing cutting edge Timing and Synchronization products for high-performance networking and data infrastructure solutions for cellular 5G Infrastructure, data centers and edge computing. Your tasks as a Timing and Synchronization test engineer will include system testing to ensure high performance synchronization and compliance with strict timing requirements and standards.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. Degree in Electrical Engineering
- At least 2 years of proven relevant experience
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred
- Experience with timing protocols IEEE 1588 and SyncE
- Experience with timing and synchronization test tools (e.g. Paragon-Neo/X, oscilloscopes)
- Knowledge about timing standards
- Experience with Microchip PTP / IEEE 1588 protocol stack
- Experience with Ethernet PHY 1588 timestamping
- Experience with ESMC protocol
- Experience with HW/SW integration
- Experience with writing scripts
- Experience with programming in Embedded Linux environment
- Knowledge about L2 / L3 Ethernet protocols
