Silicom launches new - Dual, Quad and Six - port PCI Express adapters based on the Intel® 82575 Gigabit Ethernet Controller for PCI Express, designed for high performance and low memory latency. These cutting-edge adapters incorporate Virtual Machine Device queue (VMDq) technology at the hardware level, enabling data sorting and data copying tasks to be offloaded from the virtual machine monitor (VMM) software layer. This improves overall throughput and CPU utilization on virtualized servers. VMDq technology also ensures transmit fairness and prevents head-of-line blocking to minimize memory latency.
