Silicom launches a new product line - Intelligent Bypass Switches for Inline Networking Appliances

Silicom’s Intelligent Bypass Switches are designed to improve the reliability of ISP networks while enhancing their flexibility The first product released within the new line of Intelligent Bypass Switches is a 10GB active external Bypass switch that protects network integrity from appliance failures. The Silicom intelligent Bypass switch generates the heartbeat and controls the mode of operation. It is targeted to improve Network Reliability for Internet Service providers and add flexibility.

Silicom launches new - Dual, Quad
and Six - port PCI Express adapters based on the Intel® 82575 Gigabit Ethernet Controller for PCI Express, designed for high performance and low memory latency. These cutting-edge adapters incorporate Virtual Machine Device queue (VMDq) technology at the hardware level, enabling data sorting and data copying tasks to be offloaded from the virtual machine monitor (VMM) software layer. This improves overall throughput and CPU utilization on virtualized servers. VMDq technology also ensures transmit fairness and prevents head-of-line blocking to minimize memory latency.


Silicom launches new - Dual and Quad port PCI adapters based on the Intel® 82576 Gigabit Ethernet Controller. These state-of-the-art adapters assure high-performance Gigabit connectivity in multi-core platforms as well as in virtualized environments.



Silicom launches two new product lines - 10 Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express server adapters
and 10 GB bypass server adapters. Based on Intel’s 82598 Ethernet controller and Broadcom's 57710 chipset
with two fully integrated Gigabit Ethernet Media Access Control (MAC) and XAUI ports. Silicom’s new 10 Gigabit adapters feature two fully integrated Gigabit Ethernet Media Access Control (MAC) and XAUI ports. Silicom's 10 Gigabit Ethernet Bypass and non Bypass Server adapters are ideal performance boosters for challenging environments such as multiple network segments, mission-critical networking applications and servers.



Silicom launches another MARKET FIRST – a PCI Express SSL /IPSEC Acceleration Adapter
based on Broadcom's 5862 chipset. This adapter is designed to improve the throughput of Internet security appliances and network gateways, and is optimized for the PCI Express interface, the de-facto new standard for PC motherboards. In parallel, Silicom is launching a unique new Multifunction Dual Port Gigabit Ethernet adapter featuring both Bypass and SSL Acceleration, enabling a single slot to serve two functions.The adapter is based on Intel's 82546 Gigabit Ethernet controller and the Cavium NITROX® Lite CN 1010 security processor.



Silicom launches a new product line – BYPASS MODULES.
These modules are the perfect OEM solution for appliances and motherboard designers interested in integrating Silicom's BYPASS functionality into their motherboards and/or proprietary modules.



Silicom launches a new product line of high-performance encryption adapters.
These adapters are designed to improve the throughput of Internet security appliances and network gateways. The products improve networking appliances' performance by independently executing encryption tasks, thereby accelerating the encryption process and freeing the appliances' CPU for other activities.


Silicom launches a new product line of Bypass switches. Use of Silicom's Bypass switches ensures that network traffic continues to flow unimpeded when a network appliance ceases to function, whether due to a failure of the appliance itself or a power outage. Deployment of the Bypass switch also facilitates ongoing networking maintenance.


Silicom launches new, unique, Quad and Six ports PCI-Express adapters. Silicom´s new Quad- and Six-port adapters are based on Broadcom´s 5714 chipset, a state-of-the-art product which includes an internal PCI-X/PCI-E bridge. This innovative solution minimizes the chip count on the board, thereby facilitating simpler design, minimal power consumption, minimal heat dissipation and higher reliability.
